Andrelli String Quartet at Beamish Hall, Durham
String Quartet Beamish Hall. The string quartet were back at the beautiful Beamish Hall a few weeks ago. We were performing for a client’s wedding. The grounds look amazing and guests mingle indoors and outdoors.
The special couple chose music for their ceremony and drinks reception including tunes from.
- The Greatest Showman
- Beyonce
- Bruno Mars
- Elbow.
The Bride’s Entrance
Our live string music accompanied the bride’s entry with Go The Distance from Hercules. In addition we’d been asked to arrange this specially and it’s a great addition to our string quartet playlist. The bride was almost upstaged by the surprise appearance of her toddler son driving a fantastic sports car down the aisle.
Above all, safety first. The car was remotely controlled by Dad!.
There were lots of laughs as well as poignant moments in the ceremony. After playing A Million Dreams for the exit we moved through to the bar area for the drinks reception.
Beamish Hall Performing String Quartet
Beamish Hall is such a great venue and over the years we’ve performed there often. For instance every room is elegant and stylish and the acoustics are great in the amazing wood panelled Shaftoe Hall.
Wedding ceremonies are held in the Shaftoe Hall or the Monboucher Suite and our live string quartet music really sets the scene on these occassions.
Similarly there’s a lovely bay window in the Monboucher Hall where we sit to play. Furthermore this means that all the guests can see us perform easily. In addition we can keep an eye on how things are progressing so that our timings are spot on.
Modern Music String Quartet
Couples often ask us to play classical music before the ceremony as guests are getting themselves seated. In other words well known classical music sounds perfect in such a grand venue. In addition most people associate string quartets with classical music so everyone gets a nice surprise when we start to play Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Game of Thrones.
